newplus is a free app for meeting new people who live near you in Uganda. Instead of scrolling through people from all over the world, you browse a list of people close to you — sorted by distance if you choose to share your location, or grouped by district if you'd rather not — and start chatting with anyone who catches your eye.
1. Create a profile. Sign up with your phone number, pick a 4-digit PIN, and add your name, date of birth, and a profile photo — no email or OTP needed.
2. Browse people nearby. See who's around, sorted by district or distance, and check out their profile.
3. Chat. Message anyone with text, photos, or voice notes, right from your browser — no separate app download required.
Sharing your location is optional — if you skip it, you're just grouped by district instead, and no one ever sees your exact address. Your conversations are private between you and the other person.
